Went on a water hunt and found a few things, a nice Pendant and a Token or something. It's has a swastika on one side and horse on the other, it says July 1910 and Good Luck but why would it have a swastika ?

I believe they used that symbol way before the Germans did.

The swastika was a good luck symbol for a long time, starting in India first. Sad how it changed the meaning....

Sometimes these were used to hand out to people to promote a business like we use business cards. I found one made in the 1920's that had the guys name on it. I did some research and found he had 3 businesses. My how times have changed.

cool finds. kinda funny how many times I've seen the topic of the swastika brought up on forums because of someone digging one of these tokens.

Good hunt. A water hunt would feel good right now. In Maryland it has been hitting in the mud 90's.

This was a sales gimmick giveaway by the Excelsior Shoe Company of Portsmouth, Ohio...they gave one out to each customer who bought a pair of the Official Boy Scout Shoe. The date of 1910 is the date the Boy Scouts was founded.

Yours appears to be Version 4 of which there were 9 types:
The Excelsior MEDAL Shoe for Boys, July 1910
Don.....
