3 cent nickel
Finally got back out to do some detecting. I hit a few yards yesterday and got a couple old coins including my first 3 cent nickel.

Good one coop .. ya just don't get three cent nickels everyday actually , i cannot recall seeing one posted .. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I could be wrong but it wouldn't be the First Time

You got a bunch of great finds I've only found one of those three cent nickels and mines in rough shape too, your date on yours is much better than mine.

welcome to the 3 cent nickel club! I've gotten two in my detecting life. Last was a couple years ago... mine also sounded foil-like on the e-trac, and was in much worse condition than yours.

Did that 1864 have the "L"?My very first Indian I ever found was an 1864 L,found it with my first machine I ever owned(Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505)...congrats on the 3 center...still on my "Need to find list"
