Sunday's schoolyard - 14kt bracelet - pic of school added! on 11-6
Hello!!
It is a beautiful day today here in Michigan, sunny and the temperature is in the 50's. So I was lucky enough to get out this morning hitting a schoolyard that is very close to me. lol... actually, the second closest one to me and I haven't hunted there yet. I actually had never seen this school as it's off the beaten path and I never drive by it so I researched it on an arial view and hit it today. As I wondered onto the playground I was happy to see plenty of woodchipped play areas and several sets of swings and they are building huge houses all around it so the kids must be fairly well off.
What a day it was, tons of finds in my 4 hour hunt. One of the most productive of the season for number of signals and there wasn't very much trash which was a great bonus as I dig everything and dispose of all my trash. I was lucky enough to get a sweet 14kt gold bracelet as my only keeper find. It's broken which is why it got lost obviously. I found it around the slide right next to a bench that was there. I also dug a ton of clad. $14.45, 176 coins. Lots of nickels and dimes 57 each and only 40 pennies including a 1952S wheat. This clad total puts me over the $300 mark for the season, $309.42 and exactly 3900 coins found this year. I also found a lot of trinket jewelry including 4 rings, one being a large Detroit Red Wing Stanley Cup Winner 1997 ring. A cool silver hockey goalie mask thing. A large chain with three butterflies, and a Medical Alert bracelet which I will try to return. I also got about ten other trinket jewelry pieces. I have a couple photos of all my finds. The gold bracelet is in the bottom left and maybe you will notice this teenie tiny Partrick from Spongebob Squarepants piece. It is like 2.5 mm in size so my trusty Garrett sure sniffs out the jewelry even the tiny pieces.
I was really happy to be out there and amazed how productive this school was. I am really smiling!! I hope you all have the best of luck. Thanks for reading and happy hunting.
Smiles!
