Amazing two days!

Just found my first sword belt buckle and sabre guard today!! Amazing that neither one had any damage in a plowed field! First few photos are finds from yesterday, then combined finds from 6/26 & 6/27. I think my gf wants to kill me because I sat down last night and was holding the buckle for about 2 hours just imagining the soldier wearing it and how he might have lost it Thanks for looking.. Hi Buck, thanks for the kind comment, the buckle was my 4th one so far.

1st was US buckle in '09, 2nd was CS or militia wreath January '11 , 3rd Baby US this year

Ahhhh, this was your first Sword Belt Plate! The thing I love about those SBP's is that they are always in good shape. Lead backed buckles not so much, and cartridge box plates are almost hopeless unless dug in the woods.
