Civil War bullets at the local Middle School.

Went to a local middle school right up the road from me and decided to try my luck. School was built in the 70's, but the area is old obviously. Had a nice shocker when the very first target I dug walking down a big hill was a burnside. I went on to dig 3 burnsides, a roundball 2 sharps and some modern change. I was very tickled to find those...it's always a nice surprise when you're at a site like that and you dig some oldies. HH and stay cool!

It's funny to me. These kids are walking right over history at some of these schools and don't even know it. I swear they should have a detecting class on saving history...you could learn a lot and get a workout at the same time!

Matt, don't be surprised that ANY spot there produces great relics because of the CW history. You are doing well and it takes devotion to hunt in this kind of heat. HH,. Quindy.

Oh I know, Quindy. The surprise comes when I figure stuff like that has all been bulldozed away when building the school or detectorists over the years have hit a place like that. Guess not!
