US Civil War belt plate!!

I've been out for a while since the new site is intimidating with regards to putting up new pictures, but I had to share a recent find. Went out fathers day with my youngest and found this under the edge of a root about three inches down. Thought at first it was an old can cause I saw the edge of it first. After carefully moving some dirt, it dropped back and as soon as I saw the back I knew exactly what it was! Found two general service eagle buttons within three feet of the buckle too. It's been a good yuear so far, between my son and I we've gotten two eagle plates and the US belt plate. Too hot to dig now, but we'll be back in the woods as soon as it's cool!
