PICNIC GROVE

Winter will be here soon and it was a nice morning for a quick hunt . So I went to the old picnic grove today for only 1 1/2 hours. This must be my 5th or 6th time this year. This is my favorite place but I don't hunt it that often cause the caretaker isn't there that often. But when I do I have a great time with finds..

I was cleaning the finds and I saw a 1922 penny. My heart stopped. I cleaned it a little more to see if it had a mint mark. Didn't see one. I called my wife up all excited.A few minutes later I had to brush it off some more to be positive.. I called my wife again only to say that it had a D. what a let down....sooooo close............Still happy with all the finds though...


NOT MANY HUNTS LEFT FOR THE YEAR.....Gotta make the best of them...

That's a really nice hunt. Merc, IH's, a little gold and what looks like a nice ring.

Didn't realize the 22 was worth that much but I just looked it up. It is worth some $.
