I got out Thursday and hit a nice public area that was on the 1874 map. This place is loaded with trash and iron. First good find was the 1880 Indian. It was almost masked completely by iron. Switched over to my Combined settings and it sounded off like a champ! Next target was the 1888 Indian. This was a solid 12/32 and clear as a bell. The best find for me was the nice looking 1898 barber dime. I got a solid 12/43 in one direction and solid iron 90 degrees. I ended up pulling a monster rusted bolt less than 2 inches beside the barber. The 1838 LC didn't come as too much of a surprise since the town was founded in 1815. It came in a solid 11/46 and gave me 17 coppers for the year. Last target was a 1944 Washington that was a 12/47-48 at 6".

Saturday I went back to the park and snagged another 1898 Barber dime and the 1905 Indian. I had secured permission for a nice farmhouse with a monster yard but the rain drove me off. I got a few wheats within 5 minutes, so I will be back to that one very soon.
