Old Horse&wagon WeatherVane ....Is a first !
When your new to this Hobby, you start out by detecting your own house. For me I have been living in my present house for 13 years. I have only detected the front yard and the area up to the Blueberry Bushes which are located a short distance behind my house. The rest has never been done.
As I became more comfortable with detecting other places I just never detected the wooded area way to the back of my property.... So after all this time I decided to make my way back there and see what I could come up with. This property goes back to the mid to late 1800’s and was farm country. The owners of my house use to raise Horses and had a nice size Horse barn out back but it was kinda run down , so I removed it when I moved in this place and replaced it with an updated version of a New Garage…….lolol
Now with all that said, I made my way back to the woods and came up with this nice Weathervane and It was a nice surprise. I have not seen to many of these so finding it was a treat. Now that I cleaned it up, its looks to be in good shape..... it may at one time been on top of the old barn that once stood in back of this old property…! Enjoy.... and Keep on digging!
