Nice 2 cent piece this morning
Got out early to beat the heat and hit a new site for the 2nd time with my buddy Sanddigger. The finds weren't plentiful but I did score a couple matching 1898 IHs, 2 early wheats, a silver quarter, a flat button, and an 1864 2 center. Haven't dug one of those in a while. This site has colonial potential, and hopefully when the field is cut in the fall we can get into some older stuff. Until then I'll have to confine myself to the beach or any construction site that may pop up. Stay cool!

I really enjoy that coin. I did happen upon a really nice one back a while ago, (posted in greatest finds). But, for some reason, the Two Cent Piece is something I just plain enjoy seeing.
Good job and nice coin!
HH!
I have to take my detector out for a walk every now & then. If I don't, it starts leaving little piles of pull tabs all over the house!!

Congrats on the 2 center Bill. I always like to find those oddball denominations that they don't make anymore. I have found about seventeen 1/2 cents, six 2 centers, and one 3 cent silver. Still looking for the halfdime and 20 cent piece!
