Hour hunt after work gets me a nice cut 1722 spanish silver, couple CW bullets too.
Went out after work today to a spot up the road from work. It's been almost 2 weeks since I been detecting and it was a nice day so I decided to give it a go. I went to a spot where I had been before, but didn't detect it too hard. The grass was tall and hard to swing in. Walking up the hill toward a field I get an extremely bouncy signal, but I was digging all signals that were decent or good on first swing. I put the pro-pointer in the hole and of course it starts going bunkers, but I can't find it. Had to keep shutting it off and turning it back on...anyway, finally got to check the plug and I finally pin-point it and I saw what looked just like a piece of shredded aluminum. Took a better look and CRAP a cut spanish silver! 3 months ago I found my first 1781 spanish half real. Not sure on the date or what type of denomination it is, but I guess it would be about the size of a quarter all pieced together.
On top of that I found 2 spencers, a virginia feeder calf tag, iron buckle and what I thought was a freakin' CS tongue ended up not being that at all. Not sure what it is really. Not bad for a quick hunt I guess. Thanks for looking guys and happy hunting!
