Well, finally my metal detector is paying for itself. Last night searched a pile of dirt dug from my backyard after some work to extend our patio and found a dime and a penny. Not much, but the feeling of finding something of value was great. Had spent time searching beaches but only came up with ring pulls, nails and other junk. Now I know what keeps all you guys going.... onto the next hopefully bigger find!!!!!!!!!!

We are the 1%, or rather, we search for it. Most digs will be junk. It's the good finds that keep us going. Welcome to the hobby!
