I went door knocking this morning, only took one door....this was a TINY yard, the front yard was no more than 10 ft from the house to the sidewalk, thats it!!! But it was old and called out to me, so I knocked, ...asked, ...and got permission.
First plug was an 1899 indian at 4" deep, so I made up my mind I was gonna go slow as possible and dig every coin signal, no matter what depth. Got a few clad coins, then snagged the 1923 merc. Moved across the sidewalk to the right side of the yard, and got a fairly shallow 10-42. I figured it was a memorial or possibly wheat....NOPE, it was a 1911 barber dime. Got one lone wheat and few clad coins and the front yard was covered.

I moved out to the curb strip, got a couple clad coins, then I got a 09-41 repeating good that showed 4" I thought again, maybe a memorial or wheat, but this time it was a two silver dime spill, 1907 Canadian and 1899 barber dime, cool!
That was a quick, short, and VERY productive hunt....4 silvers with only one wheat, that helps my silver to wheat ratio!
Don't skip those tiny yards because some produce very well.

Love the dirty pile pic. It says look at dug pile of coins. It's real and tells it all. I am sometimes cynical when it comes to posted finds. Well done indeed. If truth in detecting we're part of the banner I would nominate this post.

Great finds G4E!! I can't wait to get back to diggin some yards. Been too dry here, though, no way I'm going to make anyones' yard look even worse than they already are. We're experiencing one of the worse droughts here this summer that we've ever had. For some reason it doesn't seem to bother my grass though.....everytime I get the mower out I kind of wish some of the stuff would wither up and quit growing! HH
