Another one off my reformed list.

Since I stopped hunting about 20 years ago and only started back this year, I've had to restart my wish list.

I went to a place where I know it's been hunted but wanted to at least have a chance at something older. It worked. I did manage 4 wheats, some old shells and a plate off something. AND, after hunting in shade that was over 95 degrees for what seemed like days! I was ready to quit hunting again. At least for the day anyway.

Isn't it funny though how just one single coin and make everything worth the efforts. I got a little better than a penny hit in some VERY hard, dry ground. After digging round and round and in and out of a tangled tree root system, out pops this WONDERFUL Barber dime! Haven't pulled a silver like it in a VERY long time. I sat back, toasted the Lord in thanks and just admired my "new" coin. I didn't care if it was worth anything. It made my day and for a time, I will be happy!

Yes, it seems a little funny how an old little coin can put a smile on my face, but I love it and I have been hooked for about 20 years now. And it still has the same effect as it did on the first one.

Those type coins are always nice to find. Never found on that I didn't like.
