My first day using my metal detector since forever was last week. Took it up to the smokeys. I found 6 silver nuggets, a fragment of brass, a live 30-30 winchester, and lots of canned meat. Felt pretty awesome. I guess I'm hooked now and I blame treasurenet :laughing7: I went out today and my first find was the heaviest and shiniest nugget yet! Not in the mountains, but in the depths of a gravel parking near a church in town. It looks natural but could be from one of the times the church burned down. Other finds today were; A 69 penny, 1980 dime, and mangled aluminum chuck with illegible markings all found at the ballparks. And a Iron and brass door lock assembly from behind a long gone plantation.
Gear:
Bounty Hunter 550. Early 90's detector with meter, sensitivity, and discriminate. No Idea what the meter means. Starts at 10 and go's down.
Headphones
Cold Steel Kukri.
Custom ho/rake/pic
Medium Alice Pack

Traded camera for computer :BangHead: If I find a cord for my old phone I'll use it and share some pics.
