Went looking for some shade and cooler temps the other day and I went to the Park not far from home where I found the 1862 IH fatty awhile ago. I've had a feeling this Park still holds some silver and my Fisher and I found a piece the other day!
The park was quiet, so I started where I left off the last time I was there. I came up with a lot of trash and some pennies, dimes, quarters and a 1947 Wheatback. Plus a 1944 Mercury silver dime! I was digging a little deeper in a dry hole when I saw the flash of Silver! Yikes! Yup, I scratched it and then did the stupidest thing...I forgot all I know, and wiped the dirt off with my thumb...the "dry" dirt...aka loose sandpaper! It wasn't that bad, lol and it's not a key coin so I'm not complainin'. We could use some rain though.
