this find tops them all (get it?)...chunk of silver from treasure mountain
Haven't been out much lately, summer's the busy season at work and it's been pretty hot. Went out yesterday and glad I did (as always).
About two years ago I took a break from a long project on a nearby mountain:

Took a long hike around the perimeter of the summit yesterday, for the first time since then, and found this cool cane top alongside a mostly overgrown road:
Almost didn't dig it, right on top and screamed like a can. Even when I dug it, I wasn't sure what it was. Once I knew it was silver it occurred to me. It's hollow up to about halfway then solid silver, and sure seems pretty old. Also found a SLQ on the way back down, bummer no date.
Thanks for looking,
Steve
