Homestead Honey Hole
Here's a pic from a trip to my honey hole last week. I'm up to 113 buttons from this spot, including 5 US eagle buttons.

I personally didn't see anything about coins in his post..............................HH

John,
Have you done any water hunting with your AT Pro? I'm trying to concentrate on that until it cools off and the vegetation dies off.

cti,
I haven't taken anyone to this place yet. I believe I'm the only person who's ever hunted here. I don't want to seem greedy but I kinda want everything as each piece is another part of the puzzle to this place. I might consider it though if you had some battlefield property to take me to.

Does anyone have any pics of the large collections of trash dug in order to get to such treasures? : )

I found this old homestead by talking to the old guys in my neck of the woods. A neighbor down the street said his house use to be up in the mountains and 90+ years ago someone moved it with horses and logs. He took me to the spot he thought it was and sure enough there were some old pieces of brick from the chimney. I went back that same day and the 1st thing I dug was a Union eagle button. I went back almost every day for 3 months with my v3i until I ran out of targets. Then I got the ctx 3030 and found another 40 buttons , another coin, and another box plate ( 2 foot deep ). It's completely grown over right now so I'm doing some water detecting until it cools off and and the vegetation dies off.
My neighbor built additions around the old square log building , but it's still intact. I'll see if I can get some pics and post them later.

Other than being in a down pour, no. I want to and would like to. Maybe we can meet some time while I am on lunch and we can talk. My office over on Broadway right by the light. Just send me a message that you can meet and we can get some lunch.
