    musket ball ?

    did bit more poking around yard today and found this round ball thinking cool a clay marble... nope it be lead approx dia is .71-.72 in
    then a big iron ring and bugs bunny, and two round fancy looking items no clue on them and iron coin die ? or some knd of joke i can see what looks to say one dime ? and a mother of plastic or pearlish button,,, really like to know more on said musket ball ,, happy huntinn ya'll

    The iron thing is a "staple" used to build the beds of horse and mule drawn wagons. I wonder how it got bent in different directions?...d2

    Prolly was bent over that way so it wouldn't pull out or split the wood if it tried. Done that myself with things like that many times.

    thanks everyone the two round items were in the same hole and look as if they where attached brooch maybe? the musket ball would date from late 1700s- mid 1800s, and it looks to have been loaded then pulled , the iron staple is dead on, and here is the pic of the metal ring forgot to post it
