Decided to do some park hunting near my husbands Job site, not much finds. It was so hoooottttt,,but I will sure return,,had a lot of groundskeeper's working but no one bothered me,they actually were nice & waved @ me..I had even one guy trying to hit on me asking me if I had a boyfriend, said no I'm marriedI gave up b/c it was so hot,you could fry an eggBut Question,as I was detecting my Mxt would go blank & then come back on,,it happened quite a bit, could it be b/c I was about a mile from a small airport?? Help!!

I would check you cable connections. You might have a loose cable. Also make sure you battery compartment is secure. That being said, if you have any single friends, tell them to take up metal detecting. They will never be without a date especially if they have a beach house and an Excalibur or CZ.

I would bet it's your battery connectors. Had a similar thing happen with my XLT... I got a chop stick or something and reached in and bent the connectors up just a tad more to create more spring tension against the battery. Hasn't done it since.

if none of the above works, try a hard reset, turn your machine on and take the battery pack out while its still on,wait about a minute then place battery back in and give it a go ...........
