Awesome finds!

You might want to take both the shirt (jacket?) and the leggings to some kind of preservation expert, though.

Those li'l white-line fuzzies on the leggings are some form of moth (eats protein, Not Good) - or moth cocoon things. There is a chemical that will kill the moths, the larvae and the eggs, but it also can do a number on the respiratory system (as well as the fabric of whatever you're treating). They're too cool not to preserve!

Please let us know what you find out about 'em - they're really terrific.

wow! you need to have someone in the know authenticate them. hopefully they are the real deal! like was said already they could be worth some serious money!

i know what they are..
yes ur correct i am a mohawk of kahnawake (caughnawaga), these are performance clothes,for powow and competition dancers and performances.

they are pretty old and will be conserved..

they probably are worth a few doallar but they are worth much more to our local history and culture..
