According to my book, I have just found a penny worth $50.000.00!!!

I am SHOCKED, SHAKING and in DISBELIEF!!!

I did the best I can to take a pic to show you guys, and if you look, you will see the DOT!
Posting a few pics of it and what the book shows.

I know this will have to be "authenticated" as there have only been 4 confirmed but, I'm crossing my fingers and praying that it is indeed an original!

Here's a closer view enlarged by PBK ~ thanks PBK! ;)

Try to take a bunch of close up pictures of the coin and send the pics by email to some large coin professionals, and ask them to give an opinion.

That is what I would do.

Just because there is only 4 known to exist etc. does not mean anything, thats the beauty of metal detecting, you can and will find rare and valuable things. I am extremely happy for you and i do believe you have what i would now call the 5th rare dot coin known to exist! so congrats!! dont listen to people who are negative, everyone sees the damn dot, and one you have it graded and checked etc. you will be one happy lil dot owner! hehe

I've looked at this coin a few times and if its not a "dot", then its a period. I think a second opinion is the best thing and even if you spend a few bucks to send it somewhere to get a no, then its worth it because if it comes back yes....well worth the money!! I say you got it, as most do, and its a nice find either way!!

This thread is four and a half years old. LMAO

And it's still not a dot!

I'm amazed how many people don't realize that it's not just any dot, anywhere close... everything has to be right! (and it's not)

Yeah I think I posted on the Canadian forum about it sometime back then, but don't believe I even knew about this thread until I was here for a couple of years. It's definitely a case of horse shoes and hand grenades.
