Got out early this AM and got a 1960 Ben. Some dirty old clad. Don't know what that item with the initials is.

Thanks

Momma Said I Was Born To Dig.
The item with the monogrammed initials looks a lot like silver. Is it not? As for what it is, would need a better picture.

No markings at all on a whites machine it had a VDI of 31 when I rescanned it at home.

 Dennis
I appears to have tarnished the same tone as the silver quarter that is next to it. Usually they would't monogram something unless it was of some value. I'm thinking silver or silverplate.

Nice Half dollar find !!
I've seen silver foil like that, was likely decoration from a wooden item, possibly a picture frame.
Low reading because it's so thin.
Still looking for my first US Half, Good show
