LAST FRIDAY WAS A GREAT DAY, GOT OUT AROUND 4PM HUNTED A BRAND NEW SPOT THAT I FOUND RESEARCHING OLD MAPS. ITS A SMALL ISLAND ABOUT 2 ACRES, MY 1RST TARGET A 1890 INDIAN AT 2 INCHES, THEN A SHOOTING BADGE I NEED HELP WITH CANT FIND ANY INFO, ITS SILVER AND READS "AMERICAN SHARPSHOOTERS SOCIETY" THEN 2 MORE INDIANS 1903,1904, THEN A 1920 MERC, AND MY 2ND SEATED LIB DIME OF THE YEAR A 1857!!! NEXT A SILVER CRUCIFIX, ALSO A 1874 GERMAN 2 CENTER! AND BY THE WAY THIS PLACE WAS REAL TRASHY!! AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST I GOT A REAL BAD 88 AT 2 INCHES THOUGHT IT WAS A OLD BOTTLE CAP, IT WASNT ITS A POSSIBLE 1785 IMMUNE COLUMBIA!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS ON ITS WAY TO NGC NOW, MY COIN GUY THINKS IT IS, AND WITH A LITTLE LUCK IT WILL BE CONFIRMED, ILL GIVE AN UPDATE AS SOON AS I HEAR! THANK YOU
im hoping to get out on a small island within a park which is 93'x38' real small... but the bridge connecting to it is fairly old and who wouldn't wanna walk around on a island
Got my fingers crossed. The Redbook posts their coin images in actual size so I'm a bit concerned that this coin is smaller than the Redbook images. She's definitely a nice oldie with a nice planchet no matter what it is.

They also give the diameter in mm. Why not measure it?
Fire your coin guy! All you have to do is look at the size to know it's not... as proven in your pic above!
last one at auction weighed 126.7 grams this one is at exactly 127, that book isnt act size, it is the same size as all my conn coppers and half the width of a farthing, fire your self!

Then your redbook has larger pics than mine, which means I should have gone with my initial thought/response which is that the bust looks nothing close to the coin you are suggesting it is. You can't see this?
PS: Grains not grams.
Still fire that guy, his eyes are as bad as yours are.

When in doubt, which by your title you are, a photo comparision is always a good way to go before saying it is or is not something. Bust comparisons show differences, regardless of the size of the coin.

"The mantra has always been don't clean a (copper) coin or it will lose value.
For undug coins this is true. For dug coins this is untrue.
The value will increase with judicious cleaning."
Looks like a good post to pipe in on.....so I guess I will. NGC is .....once again....a waste of time. As to Immune Columbia....Not even close! Even in the terrible condition it is in, you can plainly see the distinct differences in what you want it to be, and what it is. Kind of glad I wasn't the first to pipe in on this, as I saw the posting yesterday. Can you give me the name of that coin guy. I've got about 15 Machins' I'd like to sell him.
