2008_03212011july0006.JPG Found this in my back yard about 6 inches down. The house was built around 1760, and the town (Manheim Pa) was founded by Henry William Steigal, a German immigrant who was also an iron master. Any correlation? The writing appears German, possibly a religious reference with "Jesu", or Jesus..., unless the diamonds are separating individual words. Any ideas?

Normally, a dot or a ' or maybe those diamonds seperate old writing, specially latin. It could be shorten versions of latin words to make a well known saying or Bible quote.
