5 Coppers, Shoe Buckles and Buttons

Hello T'Netters,

Got out to a new site today. Pulled a small shoe buckle and a knee buckle within the first 20 minutes. Dug 5 large cents and a couple of buttons in the next couple of hours.

2 of the coppers were in the same hole.

All the Large Cents were pretty toasted. They included an 1807 Draped Bust, 3 Coronets and a Young Head. It was a fun day to say the least!

OMG......The coppers are hard to believe. You must be in New England. Great finds. I have only dug a few Large Cents in many years of hunting in TN. You beat my total in a few hours. Congrats.

Great hunt! I have never dug more than two coppers in one hunt. I have done that a few times but I cant seem to break that record. You have a nice early spot.....hit it hard!

Thanks Folks! That will be a hunt I will remember. TNGuns, I may have better sites for old coppers but I can only dream about your CW sites! I'm from the Boston area.

Ragu, I don't know about "artsy", I'm afraid I am about as left brained as you can get. But maybe there is hope after all !
