I've been waiting and waiting for the soya beans to come off our field so that I could get my MD'er diggin out there. Well, finally this weekend, off came the beans that should have been off in early October, but with all the rain, beans didn't have a chance to dry.
So....finally got a chance yesterday to detect our field and was I ever surprised to find this. I was hoping to find something to date our farm and, I did! We have 100 Acres and the chances of finding this were slim but, it happened and I'm a happy camper. Just hope there's more to be found.
Found some other junk which I won't bore you with ;D

Here it is...1876 Large cent

Nice coin. We need more Canadians on this site. Seeing those coins makes me want to do a road trip. ;) We did do a little detecting up by Niagra Falls the one year. Was a nob and didn't have much time so we didn't score anything like what you found.

Very Nice Wezzie. Congratulations love to get one of those myself someday. Certainly worth wait. Glad to see you rewarded with one of your dream finds. Even if it was a long wait.
