Odd lead disc need help on id

Not sure what this lead disc was. It has a rim imprint on the back as we'll as some marks where it looks like something was attached at on time. This was found at a civil war era house. Please give your opinions on what this could be. I also found this 1919 d wheatie and I finally gave up digging something big that I just got to before dark. Something cast iron about 2 feet deep and still some to go. Hopefully when I return tomorrow ill be able to post a nice relic after all my hard work digging whatever it is, but maybe junk we shall see tomorrow.

Perhaps the lead fill out of a rosette.

Unless LaGold has monster paws, judging by the disc in relation to the fingers, this disc appears to be less than two inches wide. The lead fill from a breast plate would be 2 1/2 inches wide, unless the rim was broken off. This shows a pretty well defined rim.

It's only a bout two inches and the wheatie was used as a size reference
