The first two pictures, is that of the front and back of the 8th Cavalry tag? I found a similar tag a while ago, with just a number on one side, nothing about calvary on the other side. I'm wondering if it military as well.

Nice finds BTW!

Nice assortment of coins, jewelry and relics there. I am becoming a believer in the hype about the CTX. I just can't imagine swinging that heavy machine with a 17" coil for more than 30 minutes at a time.

Yes, front and back of the same tag. It's either 1860s or 1920s.

It's a little bit heavier. The extra weight keeps the coil close to the ground at all times. Plus, when you are finding lots of coins and taking breaks digging holes, you don't think about the weight.

The 1922 is the valuable no "d" but it is a weaker stage Type 2 die.
