It Was In The 70's Today Here In Charleston, Sorry To All The Snow Birds, I Decided To Hit The Morris Island End Of Folly Beach, We Have Had Some Erosion Here And The Mud Flats At That End Of The Island Were Exposed. Found Some Large Cal. Three Ringers, A 58cal., A Carbine Round, A Piece Of An Artillery Shell Sabot And A Nice Eagle Button With The Shank Still Intact. I Called Art, And We Are Going To Try It Again Tomorrow. Thanks For Looking. trk5capt...

You dig the great stuff!

I'm working toward a transfer somewhere toward the CW relic huntin areas.

Hope everything goes for the move. The big problem is convincing the wife. She hates the south's hot weather.

Keep on diggin!~

Very nice finds John! Glad you and Art had a great hunt! I am snowed in here Southwest Mo. We got nailed by the storm that reached from Texas to Michigan! Freezing rain, sleet, and than 6 to 12 inches of snow! On the bright side the digging should be good after the snow melts. Plus we needed the moisture. It will melt in a couple of days, we usually have days in the 50's sometimes 60's during Dec. and even Jan. Our worst weather seems to be in Feb. but not always. Last winter the ground was frozen for about 2 or 3 days and we barely had any snow all winter. It was only frozen down about 2 inches. The current weather, frozen ground, will really help to push some new relic targets back within detector range as the ground thaws.Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the first photo, thats a very nice carved bullet! Enjoyed you post and finds. Tsgman
