1849-O half dime

This is my belated Thanksgiving find. I found it in Cape Giarardeau at the old St Vincents Seminary that was built in the 1860's. The local university bought the seminary to use for their new river arts campus. I found the half dime in about 2 inches of excavated dirt on the site of the new theater

Just saw one on e-bay for $995...and yours looks as good, if not better.

Great looking Seated Half Dime, they are hard to find and many guys never find even one. My partner here in Ohio just found a 1841 Seated Half Dime this last Friday.

congrats my friend... very cool to dig one of those tiny lil things isnt it ?? I have found 2 this year... 1843.... n the other eas very worn.. but 186? both very cool... never dug ne until this year either..... hope you find lots more of those....
