I bought a Garrett ads 3 from a gentleman in the area,I went out to some tracks here in town and was kickin up some dust till i got a good signal,
It was an old snuf can about 2 inches down and 3 inches across. I put it in my truck till yesterday. I remembered it and pulled it out last night and opened it. I found what looks like a mine claim of some kind, dated 1941. County of San Miguel.

When my nearsighted eyes saw the words "Colorado" and "lode" pop out of your aging paper, I thought, "Wow, it probably really is a mine claim" Go for it! Even if it now exists underneath a set of condos, dude ranch, or a shopping center, you'll have a good time nailing down the location. And maybe it truly is in a highly mineralized area of SW Colorado & where you can work the claim! Have fun & keep us posted! Andi
