2 VA State seal button day!

My friend Ina and I hit a spot today and we both had a good day! I found these 2 VA State Seal Buttons within feet of each other! One piece buttons, no back marks. Measure 22mm.

Great find! They look to be in beautiful condition and should clean up very nicely. Other than a plate, a Virginia button is my most coveted find that I've yet to achieve.

I thought I would leave these 2 buttons alone and not clean them, I have ruined others and get nervous cleaning relics...lol...but I did use a tiny bit of water and soap and these buttons came up pretty nice, gold gilt and great detail! Probably my best buttons to date!!

Just figured out that there are backmarks on these 2 buttons.... "Rich Gilt" are 2 words that I can see. But it doesn't have "stars" near the words like in the Tice book, it has these "*" which is confusing me with the id now.....
