Drove by a nice looking spot in a corn field, didnt have detector with me but found this stuff surface hunting. Any idea on age of artifacts? I think the old door knob is made of marble. please help determine age. thanks

Hmmm, I'm GUESSING that the doorknob is porcelain. The crazing (cracking) does make it resemble marble, however. I like those old knobs. Maybe some of the hardware is also there. That seems like a promising site, any chance of returning with your detector?

The bottle tops look like the tops off my late Victorian dug bottles.

Don't know the age, but they are old. Think I would go back with my detector.
