Mid Atlantic Relic & Coin Hunters find nice RELICS & COINS Dec. 6 & 7 2012

The Mid-Atlantic Relic & Coin Hunters got out on December 6 & 7 to try our luck with some more relic recovery. The best find was Nate's 1924 Silver Peace Dollar that is in the attached video and needs to be watched to witness such a wonderful find for Nate. Uncle Joe scored and very nice early copper penny December 7-10 008.JPG my finds are below and live on the video. Thanks for watching and supporting (M.A.R.C.H.)

Fishstick,

In the fields with house site potential, I will use the Etrac every time hands down UNTIL my arm wears out. That usually takes about 3 six to eight hour hunts :icon_scratch:. The Etrac seems to do better with the coins and silver, but the T2SE is a power house and super light which makes it a wonderful machine to use all day. Now, if I decide to hunt in the woods for Civil War relics I will always use the T2 because it get better depth in my honest opinion where you have that 2 inch layer of leaves and pine straw. The T2 just seems to work better for me in a cleaner area with deeper relics. After I punch through a field with the Etrac for a while, I will then switch over to the T2 to finish off the job and catch the missed deeper items and cleaner field conditions. Hope this info helps? Thanks again!

It does not appear to be that to me. It is pretty heavy and rounded. I really do not have a clue. Maybe someone can ID it? Thanks again for your response.

Where do you live in the Commonwealth? I believe the 1922 may be the first issue of the Peace Dollar? I am not the coin expert of the group. We leave that to the "Coinmaster" himself, Nate! I am the civil war guy lol

Peace dollars' official release was in 1922, yes. There are some 1921 pieces out there but they are pretty rare.
