Sunday was a great day to get out and hunt with the weather around here being over 50 degrees in the middle of Dec. I had decided I was heading out as soon as possible after work so by 8am I had already sent a txt to G4E about the weather and making sure he was going to get out and enjoy the day as well since you would think that weather like this would bring us all out. Not sure where G4E was heading to hunt but I was headed for a house built in 1926 that I had permission to hunt. By 8:20 I had been hunting for about 20 minutes and had just puled an 1886 Indian which resulted in another text to G4E.

After the Indian I had hit an odd button and a few wheats as well as some other clad and misc. junk such as nails and bottle caps. Around 1pm Bucksguy81 calls saying he wants to get out and hunt so we make plans to meet in about 15 min. or so. I get off the phone and hit the 42 Merc. I then go to make one more pass with the detector through the yard before meeting up with him when I hit and odd sort of signal that rings high like a silver tone kind of but the number seem like it will be more like a deep wheat at about 7". I cut the plug and that's when it gets interesting. I first pull out an oval pice of metal as well as a pice of paper or plastic the same shape and think that I may have hit a broken locket or something of the sort. I then realize that I have a chain in my other hand or at least what I thought was a chain. I later realized that it was 2 chains that were intact and wearable. I drop my probe back into the hole and I'm still getting a signal and recover another small oval shaped piece, drop the probe again and still targets in the hole so I continue clearing the targets from the hole not even looking at them at this point. I call Bucksguy81 to let him know it's going to be a few more minutes as I had found something that I was working on but didn't know exactly what at that point but we would check it all out when we met up. The only thing I could tell him was that it appeared to be a multiple item jewelry spill.

I finalloy cleared the ole of targets and double checked my pile of dirt before filling everything back in. I had 2 more signals in the pile of dirt that I retrieved and then did a short clip kind of explaining what had happened. I then met up with Bucksguy81 and we looked everything over and did a clip of the finds at that point. The hole with the jewelry spill had containedL
2 chains intact and wearable solid chains with no clasps
1 Rosary broken but repairable
and I think like 12 religious pendants all seeming to be catholic and depicting many different saints including lady fatima and mother Mary. Wow what a find.

Buckguy81 and I hit a different spot then where he found some clad and a few wheats. I hit a 39 Merc and some clad as well as another wheat.

All in all a great day I had hunted around 8 hours and hadL
an 1886 Indian
39 and 53 Merc dimes
8 wheats
the jewelry spill
button
and some clad

Here's the video.

As always thanks for watching and HH!

I once found 25 religious medals and pieces of broken rosary beads, together under a bush, in the rear yard of an old house that used to belong to sisters who were known to be very religious. Maybe burial is an acceptable way to dispose of blessed religious relics.

Hey I watched those creepy shows when I was a kid... If you find a bunch of burried religious medalions... MAYBE you shouldn't dig past them... It never worked out well for the folks in the movies... just saying... ???

NICE finds, congrats keep up the good work. Yeah you can't beat last Sundays weather for December in the part of the country.
