I got out for a few mins today but, it was just plain too miserable to stay. Mostly, my own fault. I didn't dress well enough for the weather and the wind and muddy landscape just got to be too much. (I'm afraid that my AT-Pro is liable to be thinking up a real doozy for me, after I brought it out in this! )
Anyway, in the short time I was out there, I think I did well. A VERY large bullet and a grand slam in pennies. I'll let you judge on how I did.
Before I show my finds though, I wanted to share this with you. Remember way back when I found that Seated Half Dollar? Well, there was another artifact in the pouch that just seemed too much of a shame to let it just pass. So, I cleaned it up a bit and now display it with the rest.
Remember this pic?
Well, I worked on that pocket watch for a while. It's pretty well gone but, now, retired from the duty of keeping time, it now is a symbol of a past era.
If you look close, it says "Made In USA".
Even found a serial number for any who care.
I think it looks rather nice. Would be a nice piece for an antique plaque type display.
I felt good giving it another use.
And, now, for the bullet.
Weighs in at 45 grams.
I don't think I've seen many bullets this big. Sure would hate to get hit by that!!
And, the grand slam of pennies:
Oh no! HE DID --- N'T !!!!!
Yeah, he did! LOL
Thanks for peeking folks!
