Seated Liberty Half Dollars! My first detecting video.

Haven't been out detecting for a month. Glad I went out today. I decided to pull out my phone and make my first video. Any ideas on the two brass rivet type items with 3 stars that I found in same area?

I'm now up to 18 seated liberty half dollars found in my detecting "career"...more than seated dimes and quarters combined. Weird!

Another and another and... I had to stop and see your first video. I had no idea it was going to be so good. Man they just kept coming out of the ground. Somebody was rolling around under that tree a long time ago. I wonder if they got that poison oak. Very nice silver and enjoyed the video ! Congratulations.

What a haul!

Maybe you should bring some sandpaper next time to rub the dirt off. Not sure all that rubbing did enough damage. I can't stress it enough... Don't rub silver coins. You will put scratches on them and damage them forever. We would rather see an initial dirty disc than a hairlined coin.

The stars on the rivets are a common find along the trail I think you are hunting and were made by the Storm Co. they date to the 1860's.Workers in some areas were also paid with halves,thus why some types of sites produce more to any other coin.I know of at least two Caches found by friends of mine.My one multi half find produced a gold coin as well.I didnt watch the vid,and if you did indeed rub those coins I will not.Real peave of mine.....leave em in the ground if you are going to ruin them,and lord hope you never do that to a gold coin!
