My best find of the year was found on the very last day of the year and wasn't dug out of the ground ~ it was found in my own pocket change!! I got this today in a stack of 25 $1 bills from my bank. It is the first mismatched serial number ERROR dollar bill that I have ever found! The serial number on the left starts with a "0" and the serial number on the right starts with a "2" ~ and it is on a STAR note (replacement note). It isn't in the best of conditon, but I still should be able to get a few hundred dollars for it on eBay! WOOHOO

That's pretty cool, Neil! 'twas a bad day in the serial numbering department, for sure.

Happy New Year!

Very kewl find! I've never even thought about looking for that....
I did, however, get a 2004 Wisconsin state error/variation quarter a couple of years ago in some change back from a drive thru. It was the extra low leaf variation that I sold on Ebay for almost $200.
Good luck and happy hunting in '13!
