Small flat button?

I think this is a flat button. If it is, its my first flat button. My hunt was a very short one today, only about 1 hour. I found an old shotgun shell, I believe this is from 1920-1929. I found a clasp of some kind, and some junk. If anyone can give some insight on my finds i would be very thankful.

I've recovered many items similar to that 'Button'
Believe they are solder/tin/pewter patches that a tinker would apply to repair a holed container.
all mine come from saltmud, they are left behind after the iron pot or kettle has rusted away.
This example is off center and sealed two pinholes, most are round with one 'nipple'.
most similar in photo reply #10, which shows how thin the item in question is.
I've dug a lot of these
Also dug a somewhat similar clasp/hook of unknown use.
