I was a bit disappointed with the finds for today until i double checked the coins when i got home.

Its either a foreign 1991 coin or a 1661 coin, or perhaps some sort of game token but i doubt that.

I'm scared of damaging it just in case it is the real deal, any advise for cleaning would be appreciated. I'm thinking about letting it soak in lemon juice.

no advice but in the first picture it does loook like chucky cheese. Cannot make out the date at the top, looked at picture with magnifying glass(cheap one) the date on top does look like 1661. Huh? Be careful, you never know what you might have.

when i origionally found it that was my first thought too, chucky cheese lol, i guess that why i threw it into the pocket so quick. Its def. not though, i compared it with one i found last month. This has more of a gold tecture to it as well.

I'm leaning toward a 1991 foreign coin just because the oldest coin i found was early 1900's in this area. A couple hundred years jump is unlikely for me :)

Maybe put a piece of paper over it and shade the area with a pencil... You'll probably see much more detail

Try taking some cleaner, crisp photos as well... I tried messing around with them but they're a bit on the blurry side to start

I'd say its a modern foreign coin... :icon_thumleft: See how it has sides like a stop sign?? ??? I'm pretty sure they did not or could not do that in 1661... :icon_scratch: :dontknow:
Keep @ it and HH !!

What is 1661 when you turn it upside down? ;)

It's 1661 turned upside down... You can't change a date.

I think it's going to turn out to be either French or Austrian.

I'm stuck, don't know how to clean it without damaging it just in case it's not 1991. I'll research it more

It's either bronze or gold. The last time I found bronze I thought for sure it was gold based on the weight and color, sure enough bronze. So guessing bronze for now hoping its gold.

Thanks for your help Joe. I did the best i could with the crappy camera i have. The closer i take the pic, the more i tend to think it is a modern european. That date looks to be better defined on the bottom than the top. The back just is too dirty.

Let me know what you think, i'm prob. going to thow it in some olive oil for a couple of hours and start bushing it with a toothbrush soon. The hype in me is slow'n down, but it was fun. Thanks
