unknown find...also new to this

I found this in my 2nd hunt by an old bank that was turned into appartments about the 60s...hoping someone here would know about old bank items. My thoughts on it is it may be a bank seal of some sort but id like other thoughts on it...thanks

Thats what im thinking....just cant wait tto find more...only got a hour in today but this was making me think...never seen one

yup, that's a bag seal. they use those to crimp onto the canvas bags to keep them sealed so that no one can get in them. They used to use them at the Casino I used to work for years ago. nice find with the words on them!

probably not much unless you had the complete seal with the imprinted date (as long as it was old), but you never know. but I'm sure there is a market for things of that nature for the right person who collects banking artifacts.
