UPDATE: Final piece of info in my last post.

I've been on a roll lately of "interesting" finds. That's what I call them when I'm frustrated that I'm not finding a treasure chest. ;) LOL
I hadn't even found one single silver coin this year yet! :)

So, today, I decided to give it a try. The weather was sunny, blue skies, not too cold. But, before I went to my school ground I decided to go check the air in the tires. A cold snap coming up and I have one with a slow leak. I was happy to find that the tire has held it's pressure for a couple weeks now. Maybe, I can sneak by a bit more. ;) BUT.....I digress.

I pulled up to the pump, got out, shoved my money in the machine and bent down to pick up the nozzle and this is what I saw:

INSPIRATION1.jpg

Now, I've seen broken glass reflecting the sun back up at me before, this was different. So, I looked a little closer:

INSPIRATION2.jpg

Could it POSSIBLY be!?!?!

INSPIRATION3.jpg

At this point, I didn't care. My hunt was already a success! :) Doesn't matter what else happens!

So, I pump up and continue to my spot. I get out, walk to the spot I wanted to start on, tuned in my detector and bingo! A very, very nice signal. On the AT-Pro, this came up as 90!!! I tried swinging different directions, it was very insistent, 90, 90, 90! I haven't had a signal this stubborn before. AND, it was less than 3 inches!! So, I dug:

My first silver coin for 2013!

My day is made.

I stayed for a while but the winds got to be so bad that for the first time in my life, a hunt was cut short due to winds! After it took my clad quarter out of my hand and blew it half way across the field, I just gave up. ;) LOL

Here's the rest:

For the frustrated, just keep on keepin' on. It'll come.

Unbelievable find- congratulations on the diamond! Can't imagine looking down and seeing $15K on the ground!

Whadifind great find.

White Akuma I look at the ground everywhere.... this makes me think of one of my habits. When driving I'm always watching the edge of the road for goodies. I have found a lot of interesting things along the road. It seems people are always loosing things going down the road. I have found Snap-on tools, money, a wallet (returned to owner), a cordless screwdriver, half a dozen tiki torches now around my pool... you name it.

Some people think I'm just a pack rat.... I call it "Alternative Treasure" finder.

Lol, I agree whole heartedly with this. Hehe, the habit anymore I catch myself doing is driving home from work while glancing off to the sides to check how the terrain looks with all the bare vegetation and trying to see new patterns in the lay of the land for clues on the next digging hot spot. Newest field site now I've got my eye on I actually just noticed like this a short while back. It usually is a hayfield with an older run down barn close to a public baseball/soccer field but now with winter in full effect here I noticed an old stone well or maybe peeking out from a distance in an area that is usually hidden by brush. Now can't get it out of my mind for some reason. Every drive home now draws my eyes to it. Bad habit, but hopefully a sign from my subconscious of great things, lol.

That diamond is amazing, I read once that a Diamond will look like a spot of sunlight... I've never seen a picture on Tnet with so much reflection from the stone. I strongly believe that stone is real and worth maybe at the very least $500, its a sweet stone !!
Keep @ it and HH !!
