Headed down to the South Jersey shore the other day to help a friend. I finished up helping him early, so I decided to go hit an old local church that I used to go to as a kid. I grew up in the area and knew the pastor so getting permission was easy. I was only there for about 45 mins, but the finds jumped out quickly. This was a small church yard so my 15" DD covered the area nicely. Church was built in 1889 and prior to that there was a small home on the grounds. 80% of the grounds are a parking lot which is a shame. Glad I decided to bring my T2 SE with me at the last minute.

Thanks guys... I had some time restrictions due to the long ride home, hence the 45 min hunt, so I am sure I left a lot behind. I'll get down there again over the summer.

Wonderful hunt! Glad you're planning to return to the churchyard. Hmm .... guess it pays to behave in church as a boy, rather than wiggle out of the pew to go fishing, lol. Andi

Thanks guys!!!

FISHSTICK.....: I haven't noticed a dramatic increase in depth yet. One thing that I do notice is that it really makes the deeper "iffy" signals more pronounced. Coins, buttons, and other coin sized items that were iffy signals at the 10" range are no longer iffy signals. I prefer it over the 11" Biaxial stock coil. I feel it has better target separation, better target id on deeper targets, runs more stable, etc.... I haven't used it in Boost Mode yet, but I'm sure I will when these farm fields thaw out.

It adds a little weight, but nothing ridiculous. It has NO Problem finding VERY small items too. Some would think that a large coil would miss small objects, not this coil. I dig tiny ass pieces of square nail heads at 9" at the older home sites regularly when clearing an area of the iron junk before hunting a grid.

THANX for the great info ED! I'm usin a friends older T2 (what a machine). What a def over my F5. I'm amazed at the small pieces it finds and deep too. Do you have any suggestions on sum settins? I hunt fields, woods, older homesteds, NO parks or newer homes, to mush trash. I'm runnin 75 sen,20 disc and 2+ tones, sumtimes 3 tones but I've read a few places that 2+ is deeper, any thgt's? Do you have to run any def with the 15" over the 11"? THANX again bud!! HH

My settings are soil condition dependent...:

Sens...: 76-86 (Boost Mode in open fields with no trash)
Disc....: 16-25
Tones...: 1+ or 2+

I use the 1+ tone in rocky/plowed soils. I prefer the 2+ tone overall.

That's one of the best half cents I've seen posted on here. Congrats.
