It is not unusual in the case where full-period settlement talk.
Operated purely third, fourth-century villages have other cases, there is a clearer identification.
So are the coins Plated ?

Why be plated?
These coins are silver drnars, I do not understand your question ...
They look to be Silver plated/dipped, in places the coins look as if they have a bronze core, these are known as Fouree.

The images were made with microscope, the flare can be confusing.
Sabina alone, there are have doubts, it may be that suberatus.
But in many cases are met with silver is weak, in which the copper was more than the precious material.

Yes I thought that sabina was a Fouree, but these can be more desirable/collectable than the Silver denarius.

Amazing Hunt!!
congratulations
if you pulled out 6 denarius, where are the copper coins, you must have hunted at least 20 or 30 roman copper coins...
show us!!!
I would also love to see the pictures of the field, is it near a river? its a villa? any sigilatta?
Congrats
