I have come across this axe head, i was hoping someone might help me identify what type of axe head it is? it has some designs in it, and i think it does not appear to be a tool axe. im hoping perhaps a viking axe, but it looks similar to some russian axes ive seen online.

the photos arent great quality, but i have included my hand for scale.

any opinions, guesses, or advice much appreciated!

Aye, Jarveye,

Welcome to the TNet, and thanks for showing us this interesting axe head. How'd you come upon it?

It looks in remarkably good condition. I'd love to see better closeups, please.

Have you run it by the Museum of London, or the Jorvik?
