. I expanded my search out further and got another token from the old family store and a few buttons then ran out of targets. I decided to go back and try the dump. It's solid iron and it's tough to get signals. I figured I'd go to the far end and see if could get out of the iron. Then I ran across a Lilly field. I focused on that because they didn't plant themselves. I soon got into bricks , broken glass and all sorts of goodies. Turns out the foundation is surrounded iron for a hundred yards and it's not a dump. I found all the coins, tokens, and buttons outside the 100 yard iron field. Think what's actually in the iron field closer to the foundation. It's time for a sifter...

Oh yeah break out the sifter. I bet that place is loaded. Are you blanking out iron and cherry picking it or is it all sounding off? Look like a very nice old site. Good luck!

Yes, I've been able to get some of the bigger targets out like the lead filled plates, bell, harmonica reeds, a pewter shot glass, and a spoon. I have not been able to get any coin or buttons size targets out of the iron field. i'm going to try a 5 inch coil next time. When the soil drys out I'll start sifting.
