Myself and a couple of friends got away from the wives for a trip back to the campsite. The news said watch for freezen rain and the weather was correct. It started sleeting on and of and by the time (about 5 hours) we left my car and ourselves were pretty icy. It was rough but well worth it. The only bad part for me was toward the end of our hunt my headphone jack wiring came loose and I had to take them off. That is when It got real cold. The finds were pretty good total was 6 Napoleonic buttons ,about thirtydropped musket balls ,a pipe stem (surface find) one nice little silver coin(4 heller 1727 ;D) and other odds and ends. It was well worth battling the elements. I am gonna try to get back to the camp site next week if the ground is diggable. :) Thanks for looking and happy hunting/happy new Year

Awesome old silver Trent! How many 18th century coins do you have now?

Re: cold digging

Romeo 1 , I have about ten readable ones now. Most were found with in the last 6 months or so. I have a bunch of unreadable ones also that are pretty old but that copper just don't hold up to well. :-\ Its still always fun to dig a coin. HH
