This past weekend my wife and I spent the whole weekend at the beach, a well needed break. I did get to detect on the beach on two seperate occasions and came out 7 cents in clad pennies ahead. On the way home Sunday we stopped at a thrift store and looked around a bit. I found two unexpected treasures.
The first is the silver chain bracelet. I don't have a scale but it has a little weight to it and the clasps say Italy 925. I only paid $12.95 for it but that seems like a decent price for silver these days.
The second is the book, although not old nor really special it made my wife smile. She is from The Czech Republic and couldn't believe that a Czech author's book was translated to English and we found it in a thrift store in America. She has the movie and says that it is a good and funny comedy. I can't wait to start reading it.
