Went out this morning to a spot I have done a little research on. It was a mining town founded by a Mexican woman here in California. There was a natural spring flowing from the limestone rocks. In the summer miners would come from all over to wash their diggings in the spring that ran all year round. The town had a square centered around a flagpole that was supposed to be the biggest around. spring.jpg
All of the buildings are gone except for the old Schoolhouse. I did find a 1944 wheat and this 1851 UN CENTAVO 1851.jpg centavo.jpg

Anyone who has any info on this coin, I would be greatful to hear about it. The face reads ECONOMIA ES RIQUEZA UN CENTAVO. The other side reads REPULICA DE CHILE *1851*

Really cool coin and great research. looks like you have a good spot should last you for years to come. Nice that one building is standing still, from the pic you should be able to locate most of the old buildings, HH...Shoot
